'Trooping of Colour' Set
‘Trooping the Colour’ has marked the official birthday of the British monarch for over 260 years. Traditionally there are 1400 Soldiers on foot and 200 on horses carrying the flags that represent their regiment plus another 400 musicians. The Queen herself had been on horse back since 1947 up until 1986.
The miniature horse parade that are in front of you right now are our own nostalgic combination of the past and the present. In our sequence we put Prince Charles alongside his mother, The Queen who returned the salute from Prince William. Behind The Queen is the ‘Parade Commander’, a Life Guards Officer. Also on parade is the Life Guards drumhorse ‘HECTOR’ followed by the Life Guards Standard Bearer together with the Regimental Farrier and Trumpeter. After them is a Life Guards Corporal of Horse and last but not least another 3 Life Guards Troopers.
Standing at attention in the background are several dismounted Life Guards and a solo trumpeter. The details of each figure is not only accurate but exquisitely made. They represent tradition, history and hand made craftsmanship. All credits to King & Country original toy soldier maker.
