The Millefleurs Herend design originally designated a decorative motif found on 17th century Chinese porcelain, where the plant pattern covers the whole surface. Herend's Milles Fleurs décor is a much more restrained and tidied version of the exuberant Chinese decoration. It brings to the fore the tiny flowers that play only a subordinate role in the other floral décors, Bouquet de Saxe and Bouquet de Herend.
