In the 18th century, sailing ships were sent to foreign lands to collect exotic goods. A sailor returning from a voyage to South America – as a souvenir he brought back a pretty plant, the Fuchsia. Studied and perfected in painting, the fuchsia now adorns the side of the blomst cup and saucer which is perfect for an afternoon tea or coffee.
